How to use My Business Secure Messaging
Secure Messaging overview
Secure Messaging is the quick, automated way to make secure digital sales and service transactions in My Business.
Some of the things you can do in Secure Messaging are:
- Purchase or upgrade devices
- Suspend or resume service
- Manage your plans and features
- Change wireless number or user information
Most My Business users can access Secure Messaging. The only user roles that CAN'T are:
- Reporting
- View & Pay
- View Only
Your Primary Contact or My Business Administrator can update your user role if needed. Learn more about My Business User Roles.
Sign in and navigation
To start using Secure Messaging:
- Sign in to My Business.
- Click Support, then click Secure messaging.
Secure Messaging dashboard
On the Secure Messaging dashboard, you can start a new request or get information on previous requests.
- Click Create a new request to start a new Secure Messaging request.
- You can see your our total requests for the past 60 days.
- Review completed requests and requests in progress.
- You can see canceled requests by clicking Other requests.
- Or you can click View all requests to see all of your Secure Messaging requests for the last 180 days.
Creating a new request
The left side of Secure Messaging page has 4 main request categories:
- Equipment & Service
- Add new service, buy accessories, or upgrade devices.
- Manage Wireless Number
- Add or remove features, suspend,. resume or reactivate service, manage your plan(s)
- Account Maintenance
- Change wireless user information, change or move a wireless number
- Account Support
- Complex requests
Click a category, then click any tile to start your request.
Reporting a My Business issue
If you're having technical difficulties in My Business, we want to know, and have created a new tool in Secure Messaging to do just that.
You can send us a report and get assistance on My Business issues using the standard process in Secure Messaging:
- Sign in to My Business
- Click Manage, then Secure messaging
- On the Secure Messaging main page, click Create new request, then click Account Support, then click Report a My Business issue.
